DC Digital Literacy Resource

Kelly Duffek
The resource i found most useful is Kahoot.  I plan to use Kahoot to introduce a new topic or provide immediate feedback on prior knowledge learned.  The "game show" appeal makes it engaging to students of all ages.  I think allowing students to make their own Kahoots over information learned is an excellent way to demonstrate learning of curriculum standards taught.

Kahoot is kind of fun as a beginning tool or as a means of formative assessment.  I am a little concerned about the possibility of certain students always being one of the last to answer because in kahoot speed counts.  Pear Deck is a resource that allows interactive feedback during a presentation either as a built in slide or a spontaneous verbal question.  The answers can all be posted to the screen and the teacher has the option to have the students named displayed or to be displayed anonymously, while at the same time the teacher can see each student's reply with their name but not displayed so the class can see them.
