These are the specific resources that I chose from each section on web resources.
Communication Tools
I chose Prezi
https://prezi.com/ . Students like to be creative when they are using a web resource to present their creative thinking. I would have my students use this website individually, or in groups and show how they can create something that is a step-up from a traditional powerpoint presentation. In this manner students would be able to “communicate, collaborate, create, think critically in order to organize and graphically represent their thoughts” (AEA Learning System, p. 23 - Digital Literacy) by using this web resource.
Collaborative Tools
I chose Diigo
https://www.diigo.com/ . This website would help students collect their online resources in one convenient location. If their project called for students to Annotate, Diigo is a great choice! When students need to organize their references, Diigo would be my choice for the individual grading of each student's personal input and a footprint of their research. Students would have an ongoing memory of how they completed their project through this highly collaborative website, and each student would have evidence of their participation.
Creativity Tools
I chose Tackk
https://tackk.com/ . This website would be used during the creation of the Prezi. Students could use this website to connect with their project partners, run ideas by each other, and have conversations regarding each other’s input.
Critical Thinking Tools
I chose Kahoot!
https://getkahoot.com/ . I personally enjoy creating a Kahoot for testing review. I believe that this would be a great tool for students to come up with their own “test” so that they can analyze whether their Prezi presentation and subsequent research did in fact present itself through all of the components of their project.
Organization Tools
I chose Dropbox
https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/dropbox/id327630330?mt=8 . During college my colleagues and I used Dropbox a lot. This tool was very helpful in storing and sharing documents and images. This is a great way for students to share their ideas with teachers and their project pals.
Thank you,
