DC Digital Literacy

Dominic Giegerich
I am very familiar with Diigo, and it's a good tool in terms of organization, collaboration and storage of websites and internet information.  I have used it for the past five years, and have encouraged teachers and most recently students to use this tool.  I plan to broaden it's use this next year in our chemistry class as we will be doing some research each quarter on local topics with far reaching connections.

The higher order sites were most helpful for me because I have not used online graphic organizers or data managers so those will be incorporated this year as well.  We are going to try to go online as much as possible this year as we've discovered students EVENTUALLY do well online, it's they still like to whine and deflect to try to get out of doing things.  Once there they rock it...
