DIGITAL CITIZENSHIP: DIGITAL LITERACY - Liz Weisinger

There are three different resources that I use in my classroom which I like. I use YouTube in all my classes to help my visual learners master content. I also use Quizlet for vocabulary mastery in Accounting, Business Law, and Intro to Business classes. I purchase the educators version and I use this to see who has prepared for test. The last one I like is Kahoots which is what I use for my DECA members to prep for competition. I make a Kahoot for each area of competition and the kids really love playing this during practices. Lots of fun.

Kahoot is a great tool that students love to play and they get really competitive. When you have a chance check out the digital tool called Blooket. It is very similar to Kahoot, but has lots of different options.
YouTube is a great resource for students and teachers. Sometimes I find that students get bored with videos and scrub through them. EdPuzzle provides opportunities for more interaction and helps keep them more engaged. For example, during the video it allows you to ask questions for them to answer, provide opportunities to respond, and can also be an assessment tool.
