Digital Leteracy

Andy Bruemmer
I have used several sources for research in my physical education course.  It always amazes me how the students so much more effective than I am at finding these resources and finding information.
We do a yearly research project on fitness apps and fitness bands.  Finding the benefits and downfalls of several, then write a report or give a presentation on the positives and negatives of each app or band.
Then the students create a fitness plan and use the app or band (if they own one) to execute their plan.
The final part of the project the students access their goal and fitness plan and evaluate if they met their plan over a 9 or 18 week course.  If they did not meet their goal, the student will evaluate why not and suggest changes in their fitness plan.

Andy,
I know you have used many of these apps for P.E.  It gives the students a chance to research what apps work best for them to promote their health!
