Digital Literacy: Communication, Collaboration, Creativity, Organization

Sara Earleywine
Communication:  I have used Remind.com to organize groups of people for planned events.  It works out really nicely for everyone as it provides a central place for everyone to go for information and reminders of an event.

Collaboration: Dropbox - hands down has made my life so much easier when it comes to document sharing and collaboration.  Simply sharing a document or a folder with another user eliminates the constant creation of new downloaded file, after downloaded file.

Creativity: Tynker coding is amazing for use in the classroom.  It helps students learn problem solving skills and how to think about things in a systematic way.  Also, I have found that it encourages peer collaboration as students tend to naturally ask each other for help when they get stuck.

Critical Thinking: Lightbot similar to Tynker, Lightbot encourages problem solving skills and thinking about problems in new and creative ways.

Organize: Google Drive, I like to use this because I can access it from any device as long as I'm signed in to my account; this way I always have my "stuff."
