One of the things that our middle school students struggle with is digital organization. It seems even worse than a messy trapper keeper or locker. Our district is a Google district, but we need to be better about teaching students organization strategies for their google drives. Things like folder organization, color coding and starring key items are all great skills to develop. We are a 1:1 K-12 chromebook district. Every student has a device. As the years go by the digital *mess* in student (and staff, quite frankly) google drives compounds. There needs to be built in review and purge to develop those maintenance habits alongside the organizational habits. We also need to give students time to "clean out" their drive just like we give them time to clean out their lockers.
