I love using Garage Band with students! They can create their own songs using a wide variety of instruments. They are able to edit their creations and arrange them in any way they want. Garage Band makes it easy for even the most novice musician to create great music!
Garage band sounds like a very interesting option for students to show their creative side in a musical way, with or without an instrument. I looked at it briefly and it appears that it might be for older students but I wonder what the applications could be for elementary students. More research I'm sure would answer that question.
