Google Drive, YouTube

Google drive is great to help students to do documents and slides for their projects plus using YouTube research videos this  is what are students are doing now for a project plus making their own videos.

I have also used Google Drive and Youtube for my students to make their videos that they then share with the class. One of these projects involved working with the social studies teachers. For each year of the student's life, he or she would bring in a picture of their personal life and write a brief description of it. They would then use Google and some school appropriate web sites to find pictures of significant events that occurred during their lives. We set these to copyright free music and would then post them on Youtube.

What a great way to connect students' lives with the world around them. I'm sure it would be an interesting way to learn about the history associated with the milestones in their lives, and the youtube and music would make it fun, too.
