Communication: I picked Canva. I have seen other teachers in my building using it and I've heard them talk about how easy and user friendly it is. Something I would be interested in trying with my students is creating a "project" to assign to my students rather than always paper and pencil. After exploring some, it looks like you can create a lesson within Canva and at the end you could probably assign an exit ticket.
Collaboration: I picked Popplet. After exploring this site, it seems like a cool visual for students to organize their research if they are collaborating with others on a project. You can use this site for any topic and you likely have unlimited space to add as many boxes of information as you want. You can also upload pictures!
Creativity: I found PBS kids. Within this site, there is an app in which kids can create their own animal. This would be SUPER fun for kids when getting into animals and habitats. This allows them to get creative by making their own kind of animal and deciding which habitat, what kind of foods, and all other details about their animal. I could have them write a paragraph to go with their creation on this app.
Critical Thinking: I found Tinkercad, which looks pretty cool. It includes 3D design, electronics, and coding. In STEAM, our students begin to learn about coding using the site SCRATCH. It would be cool to expose them to this site as another way of using this critical thinking skills through design AND electronics in addition to the coding.
Organization: I found Bubbl.us. This seems like a cool way to take notes on any topic. I could use it at home when managing projects that my husband and I want to complete around the house. I love lists because I feel like I have so many tabs in my brain open that I often forget things I want to accomplish. This would be great for organizing those tasks regarding when, how much, how long, comparing different companies for the job or DIY, etc.
