I found Quizalize to be a cool new platform for quizzing students (https://www.quizalize.com/). There are templates and already designed quizzes (or you can design your own) that make taking a quiz more fun! Quizzes can be team activities and can help teachers understand quickly who is 'getting it' and who isn't. At the end of the quiz you can easily assign additional resources to those who need extra help in understanding the subject.
This sounds exactly like what I needed when I was working in an alternative program. While many courses were online, we tried to provided offline coursework as well to break up their days. A resource like this would have been extremely beneficial to me and my students.
