For the communication tool, Voki.com is a great resource students could use to share information found. I could see students using this to convey their message of how a character feels or why they did something in a book they’re reading. Students can then create their voki creature to match what they believe their character from the book looks like. Bubbl.us is a resource students could use for collaboration. Working in groups students can create a graphic organizer related to a topic and then share with other groups to determine similarities and differences. I really enjoyed exploring the ToonDoo Comic Strip Creator. This is something I see students really enjoying. It could be used for students to create a retell of a story read while adding special affects found in the site to make it more interesting and engaging for students. The Mindmeister graphic organizer site is a great resource for students to use when conducting critical thinking activities. This same site can also be used as a tool for organization. In regards to organizing multiple sources of information, students can create their own Symbaloo accounts and save various resources.

With the many options available (and perhaps using, say, QT screen recording), students could even create a character that resembles themselves, and has his/her own voice. I could absolutely see incorporating this into my freshmen computer class.
