As a district teacher librarian, part of my job is to be aware of quality digital resources. There are a lot of great ones out there that I already know of, but know there are so many more I could be using myself and suggesting to my fellow teachers to support their lessons and activities. One that I've heard of but never actually used myself is Tinkercad. This summer at the Iowa Reading Conference, one of the sessions was about digital literacy and in that session, the presenter encouraged us to make a free account and showed some of the basic uses of it. I was overwhelmed with excitement on how I could possibly use this in my library and MakerSpace lessons, so much so that I still have that tab open on my browser so I don't forget to come back to it and explore when I get a chance.
