There has been a real explosion of digital resources thanks to the pandemic, and many in the symbaloo pages were interesting, but not necessarily practical for a lot of schools. However, I am definitely interested in trying out EdPuzzle. As a History teacher, I make a lot of use of John Green's Crash Course videos for homework assignments, to help with assigned readings, and to prepare for discussion in class. However, accountability can be a bit of an issue, or just making sure they understand even before class starts. Losing instruction time for a pop quiz can be a pain, and it annoys the hell out of your students. With the functions of EdPuzzle, being able to lock out skipping, and more importantly being able to insert checks for understanding, engage critical thinking, and get analytics on responses could all really help strengthen my comprehension of how well students are watching and learning from the assigned videos. Going to make a point of adding this to the budget requests!
