Share Resource - Everfi

Tyler Bleckwehl
As I have been going through this course I have realized that I need to do more to teach, talk, and reflect on digital citizenship more in my classroom.  I found a free resource web-based resource called Everfi that I think can help me teach digital citizenship at the beginning of the year and then reinforce those concepts throughout the school year.  Everfi has an online course called Ignition: Digital Wellness and Safety.  According to Everfi, "Through six digital responsibility lessons, students take practical steps to protect their privacy and safety online. Students will learn critical digital literacy skills including how to evaluate content for accuracy, perspective, and motive. Ignition's digital literacy curriculum helps students acknowledge the benefits of online communities and resources while guiding them to successfully navigate potential pitfalls in their digital lives."

I have used Everfi for about 10 years! It is an easy site for kids to navigate and the lessons are also engaging.  I have used it with 4-8 grades and I like that they have lessons for several age levels.

Hi Evan! I've heard good things about Everfi. It's great that they have such a wide range for grade levels.
