I am a high school teacher and also a coach. I use twitter a lot and it can be useful if it is used correct.  I get a lot of my announcements out to the different players and also I use it to find out scores/site changes.  I believe it can be bad as far as cyberbullying, but if you have a discussion with your players before the year about it, it can be useful and a good resource

I also find Twitter to be a great way to communicate with students and parents. I am the boy's tennis coach at the high school and will always post tennis results and pictures to my Twitter account. Parents really appreciate that.

will have to try twitter I guess.  Seems a lot of use for it.
