Several years ago, I used something similar to this to allow a student whose father had just died to create a book about him and their relationship. I couldn't find that resource, but this one is quite similar. There are a lot of possibilities with this site (almost too many) but I think teachers could find it useful.
I am not totally sure how it would work, but Mindmeister.com looks to be a great way for students to work together to come up with ideas.
