conferencing

I took a look at the skype website for video conferencing. I think this is a better alternative than facetime (which I tend to use, because my family used apple products) because it will work with PCs or Macs. I could see this being effective if a student was ill enough to be home for a length of time or if a family was on a foreign trip. It would be neat for the kids to skype with their friend from abroad. The broadcaster could give the kids a tour of historic sites for example.
