 In selecting the Google Drive - Collaborative as a good platform to aid students communication to solve problems, there are important issues to consider.  First,  we can only use Google if your students have good Internet service where they live or work.  The classrooms in Iowa schools would have good Internet service, but when adult students go home, their personal Internet services may be scarce or not exist.  Second, all of your Google files and info is saved in a 'cloud'.  There could be serious privacy concerns from weak systems.  There is no way to keep google files 'private' and completely away from the internet.
