I think that SKYPE is an awesome resource to use and get to know others in various parts of the world.  It was national reading day and we SKYPED  someone from Austria to read an Austrian book to us. It would be a great, new way to "pen pal" other classes and learn about other cultures and areas of the world.  You could collaborate on projects and assignments for different classes.

Skype sounds like a great tool. I have often thought about using it ot connect with government officials for my government classes.
