At the school i work at we have access to the remind app.  I can now text students that sign up to use it through my classroom.  I like that it gives me their name and scrambles the phone number so personal information is not given out.  I t has expanded over the years before it was telling the entire class and all the students the same message.  Now a student can text just me and not everyone sles.  It also is a recorded conversation that the school can review,  Makes us accountable but i do make sure the student understands that feature.

Kindle is something i have use in the past with students who have difficulty reading or slow to read a book that is required.  I have used mind to help students search for books they might be more interested in also.

Organizational skills  online mind mapping called mindmeister.org is a good way to organize and brainstorm ideas for projects you might be assigned.

Critital thinking   diffen.com compares two items and list many ideas about the products giving facts.

creativity   easelly.com  has a database full of templates you can use to make your own brochure.  Resumes are easy to use on here.

collaboration  realtimeboard.com is something i think would work nicely for all the dept meetings.  teachers are invading my room to use the smartboard and take over my computer... Hey get your own! i got work to do also.
