DC Literacy: Share Resource

I've started hearing a lot about Flipgrid after our school hosted a Google GAFE.  It seems like a cool way to integrate speaking and listening standards while providing students opportunities to reflect, prepare for debates and books clubs, and collaborate with each other as well as communities outside of our school.

In terms of organization, I like using my Kindle app to model my personal reading log for kids.  I'm not sure how functional it would be for our kids to use as their sole reading log, but it works great to model the habits life long readers use.

For daily work, we've been using Hapara to more easily provide students with access to Google Documents, Google Slides, and other elements of the Google Suite.  The kids are able to push their own thinking by collaborating on projects in person and online.

I am also intrigued with Flipgrid.  My students need more practice collaborating with each other and with their critical reasoning skills as well. I am also interested in hooking my students into Hapara.  I first read about it on this site and looked for someone to explain it further to me.  My students are used to using a lot of the google documents, slides, and other Google elements.  If Hapara would help them push their thinking and collaboration skills as well then that site would be awesome to include in my plans for my classes.

Ha Para was mention as a site to check out. The last class that I took was on " Google Apps". Using this site would allow me to put these tools to work in my classroom. I also like the fact that students can work on their collaboration skills.
