I looked at Fanschool, you have to join the site to look more in depth but I read about their kid friendly blog and thought it was a neat idea for kids to learn how to post in a safe environment with teacher oversight. It's a classroom sharing environment for posting work and parents can be invited to follow along and see progress as well.
With how much parents are on phones and social media I thought this would be a neat way for them to be more involved in their child's academics if they could just log into an app and see what their child is posting. They can leave feedback as well.
The student's profile becomes a portfolio of their learning and can be used year after year, so if a school started it in middle school and used it through high school it could be a very neat experience.
