Share Resource: Padlet

Emily Lande
Padlet is like a digital bulletin board for students to share ideas, research, and work together safely and creatively. I like how visual it is, but also how multi-dimensional it can be. The 'sticky pads' can be used to type words on, use voice notes, video clips, or images. Multiple students can work on the same board at the same time, they can comment or react to another student's post, and their information can be further organized into columns, grids, or timelines depending on the topic. I personally like to use Padlet when students are doing background research on a topic so it can be used as a brainstorming tool. This way, all students are actively participating because they all have an assigned research role/job.

I love the idea of using Padlet as a tool for collaborative brainstorming and research! It's great for fostering active participation, especially when students are assigned specific roles. The multimedia capabilities—from text to voice notes to images—make it an engaging tool that appeals to different learning styles. The real-time collaboration aspect also allows for instant feedback, which can really help students refine their ideas and expand their understanding of a topic

I think that is a great idea! I can also see Padlet being a great resource for students who are learning in an online setting. I think it would foster an added interest in seeing how their peers respond to their ideas and would also allow them to have a collaborative experience in their distance learning.
