I think I might try Toondoo for comic strip creation.  I have done that before with another app (can't remember its name) and the students had fun.  They were required to use a vocabulary word we were studying at the time.  They like to find a way to make a joke (play on words) which helps them understand the true meaning of the word in a scientific sense.

I also like Kidblog because it could be limited to your class or grade so it is safe.

I think the kids would love the Space Race in Socratic.

This  (Toondoo) sounds like a resource I could use for the students in my art classes.  They enjoy creating comic strips.  I really like your idea of using a vocabulary word as inspiration for the project.  I could use art terms,  such as texture,  to help them understand the meaning as well as be creative and use their imaginations.

I would like to learn on how to use Toondoo.  I think students would enjoy creating a comic strip about a country or an historical event.

The app Toondoo sounds like it would be neat to use with my online K-2 students for writing. I am always looking for engaging ways to keep my students interested in writing virtually.

I would like to try Toondoo, as well. I used to use PowToon, but they changed a lot of stuff and I think now you have to pay for a lot of it, so it doesn't work well in the classroom setting. Toondoo could be a great alternative, though for a project in my Computer Applications class!
