1. Communication:
a.
https://web.seesaw.me/ seesaw: a great way for kids to record their own book talks, ways to reteach someone else a math concept, explain how their science experiment worked
B. Class DoJo - I use this on the daily to interact with parents. I sent a quick summation of our day, pictures of the crazy stuff we do and positive messages all the time! This is by far my favorite mode of communication with families
2. Collaboration
Google Drive - My favorite way to use drive is to have my students share a writing piece with another student and then to comment on each section of the rubric with examples. I typically have kids go back and forth with a peer before sending to me.
Additionally, my teaching partner and I make slides for everything - our language arts, math, etc.
3. Creativity
https://animoto.com/ This is a new one for me that I will play around with more. I am thinking that I will be using it for our science experiments, where we record each other and then do the "Why it works" as a part of it. I am incredibly excited and look forward to seeing if the kids choose this over seesaw. I think they will because of the options!
4. Critical Thinking
https://debategraph.org/Stream.aspx?nid=61932&vt=ngraph&dc=focus One of our 5th grade writing standards is presenting both sides of an issue and choosing your opinion based on those facts. I look forward to using Debate Graph to have kids mentally map this out and record information. The reading standard of analyzing author's perspectives will also work!
https://padlet.com/ I look forward to using this because kids are experts at this point on making Google Slides, so it is similar but a little different format so I think this will be a great way for them to share their information!
https://www.easel.ly/ I feel the same about easel.ly as I do about padlet, I think the kids are worn out on Google Slides so this different format will be a nice novelty for them to share information!
5. Organization
https://www.symbaloo.com/welcome I would like to have my kids create their own symbaloo on information. This will be a great end task after we discuss analyzing a site!
https://cacoo.com/ This one I am extra excited about! I can use this for kids to map out their plans for their research and writings, all of their projects.
